A pub located in the student campus of Agder University. There are of course many students hanging out here, but also many locals. On Thursday they have Quiz, every second Sunday Bingo, Tuesday International Pub and 1st Saturday of the month gay disco. They are also arranging many concerts with famous Norwegian artists. And the best of all: Østsia have the cheapest beer in town!

Spot

Spot is a popular club in Kvadraturen, just beside the City bridge. It has 4 bars, and a VIP area. Spot opens at 22.00, and to avoid the long line, either arrive around 23, or put your name on the guestlist(visit www.spot.no for more info).

Spot plays a nice mix of Hip Hop, RnB, Pop and House music!

Pir 6
Age limit: 18(with student ID), 20 if no student ID.
Cover: FREE

A new student pub located in the city centre. Pir 6 was opened in March 2009, and has fast become one of the most popular student pubs in the city. Be sure to arrive around 23, to escape the long lines outside!

Kick

Kick is a restaurant, bar & club complex. A really hot spot for party and one of Kristiansand’s most popular clubs all year round. They also have many arrangements during the year such as concerts, fashion shows, DJ’s and much more. During the summer they open up their big backyard where it is restaurant at daytime and one of Norway’s best clubs at night time.

Twist and Shout

If you like to party and dance this is the place to go. They have an entertaining staff. The music is mostly hit music from the 60’s to present. The average age is 23 – 24 years and many students.

Charlies Bar

Cover: FREE (Some concerts has cover, but always under NOK 50, Saturday jazz NOK 30).

Lively and crowded bar. Many students, musicians, music students from Agder University and people from the pub and bar business. At least once a week different Trash pop music www.trash-pop.com. Every Saturday at 14.00 "Saturday Jazz" with candle light and wine, and in the evening DJ playing punk and vibrating rhythms. Last Monday every month there is a house band playing, and afterwards anyone can enter the stage to perform. You have to bring your own instrument.

This is a place with restaurant, 7 bars and 2 clubs. DJ playing hit music. The average age of the customer is around 23 - 40 years. In the weekends it is discotheque with mostly music from the 80’s, 90’s and hit music. Thursday is the evening to show your temperamental and sensual side to salsa music. Every Wednesday it is quiz. They are also having many concerts during the year.

Small, intimate bar famous for their great selection of cocktails and long drinks. In 2003 they won the price for having the best Bar Menu in Norway.

Midnight cafe

This is Kristiansand Hard Rock Café. A place to start the evening and warm up to all kinds of rock music and enjoy the signed guitars from KISS, Oasis, Garbage, Pink Floyd & Motörhead and many gold- and platinum records. Midnight is also the location of Christianssand Blues Club and sometimes they arrange blues concerts. Rock Quiz every second Tuesday.

In this bar, the alcohol is in focus with a great selection of wines, hard liquors and cocktails. It is a place for people who want to talk and enjoy their drinks. Sometimes they have wine tasting and courses to learn more about wine, cognac, whisky and cocktails.

According to themselves they are handpicking the best pianists in the world to entertain, play and sing hit music. Lively party place where you can relax, drink, dance or go crazy around the piano with people around 23 – 45.

Telford Pub & Tartan room

It opened in 1972, as the first pub in Kristiansand’s history and has English style interior. Mostly people over age 30. Many regular customers and a popular place among the local artists, politicians, teachers, writers and theatre actors. Sometimes live music.

På Hjørnet is a rock and metal bar. You can also watch football games, participate in film quiz every first Friday in the month, or if you like Goth every third Saturday in the month Redemption Goth and Metal Club is arranging concerts. www.gothic.no.

This is the only pub in town that is open every day all year round and they have cheap beer. It is located 500 metres from Kvadraturen. It is a small and intimate bar. Sometimes they have concerts and show TV football games.

Here you will find many trendy people around 25-26 years. The interior is white with red furniture. Every Friday they have live music and salsa.

Quarten is separated into a cocktail bar with age limit 20 and a discotheque with age limit 18. They are mostly playing hit music and people around 18 – 26 years are hanging out here.

Discotheque in the weekends, often concerts with many Norwegian and International artists. The music is often country, ballads and narrative songs. Karaoke on Mon, Wed, Thur and Sun. The customers are all ages and from all societies.

Here is a discotheque with a DJ playing a great variety of music. It is mostly people around 20 – 30 years at Club Ernst. In the same building is also Dr. Fjeld piano bar and outdoor Africa- bar where you can smoke all year round.
